Boni Khalwale butchered mercilessly after reacting to the viral video of MP Peter Salasya publicly slapping a local MCA
Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale may be feeling remorseful for initiating a discussion on X, as Kenyans swiftly responded by presenting evidence contradicting his moral stance.
Affectionately nicknamed the ‘Bull Fighter,’ the Senator utilized the microblogging platform to criticize various aggressive Kenyan politicians, expressing concern about the transformation of the country’s political landscape into a hostile battleground.
“Our leaders have gone mad. From an MP shooting a DJ go another shooting a mad dead, to others pitting rival goons against each and not to this! Kenyan voters must seriously retrospect,” he tweeted.
Khalwale responded to the widely circulated video of Mumias East MP Peter Salasya publicly slapping a local MCA during a funeral dispute.
Like many others, the Kakamega Senator likely found the ongoing senseless violence at various political events deeply disturbing. However, his attempt to address this issue promptly backfired, as Kenyans seized the opportunity to expose his hypocrisy.
In exposing his double standards, citizens delved into the past and uncovered images of Khalwale actively participating in collecting and throwing stones.
Clad in an untucked blue shirt and a black cap, the Senator was photographed engaged in stone-throwing during the tumultuous Kibra by-election in November 2019. T
hese images resurfaced in the conversation, serving as a reminder to Khalwale of his own history of violence, a sharp contradiction to his current advocacy for ‘non-violence.’
While attaching the photos and without saying much, X user @Kachwanya simply asked, “Isn’t this you?”
Another user asked, “Didn’t you get photographed stoning Kibra people not too long ago? How different were you actions then from what is happening today? You’re all the same! Spare us the pretense!”
On his part, user @mungaimururi said, “Classic case of the kettle calling the pot black! Zile mawe ulikuwa umebeba Kibera zilikuwa za kujenga nyumba za Affordable Housing eh? Very nice…”
At the time when the images gained widespread attention, Khalwale provided an explanation, asserting that he felt compelled to defend himself. According to him, he had no alternative but to respond to the violent actions of youths who had become aggressive and were threatening his safety.
“I waited for them, then about 30 youths came carrying stones. I was confident and I wanted to face them like a man and a bullfighter from Ikolomani,” Khalwale said then.
The words are right but the sayer of the words has no moral authority here😄
