Cracks in the Azimio as Karua Aims Thin-Veiled Attack at Raila after Court Stopped NADCO
The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party is experiencing ongoing rifts with respect to the execution of the recommendations put forth by the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO).
After the High Court halted the implementation of the NADCO report pending the outcome of an activist’s lawsuit, Martha Karua, the leader of Narc Kenya, is the most recent to express her apprehensions.
Karua indirectly criticised President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga in a message published on Sunday, March 31, regarding the report.
Karua asserted that the bipartisan discussions were an attempt to deceive Kenyans who demonstrated in the streets against the exorbitant cost of living.
She emphasised that the primary objective of the NADCO negotiations was to generate employment opportunities for the privileged few, whom she termed “big boys.”
Karua, a principal at Azimio la Umoja, asserted that the discussions were additionally intended to advance the Kenya Kwanza legislative agenda.
“NADCO was all along meant as a pacifier for the restless masses, jobs for the big boys and pushing ahead the KK regime’s legislative agenda,” Karua said.
She asked Kenyans to devote considerable thought to the future they envision and the means by which it can be attained.
“The urgent question which all people of goodwill must reflect on moving forward is what future do we want for ourselves and how can we make it happen,” she added.
