CS Ezekiel Machoku Endorses Nairobi’s Health Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria as Gusii Spokesperson
Ezekiel Machogu, cabinet secretary for education, has endorsed Geoffrey Mosiria, chief executive officer for health facilities in Nairobi County and community spokesman for Gusii.
On Saturday, March 30, Machogu endorsed Mosiria as the Gusii spokesperson in Nairobi county and the diaspora while speaking at the KICC.
Education CS lauded Mosiria for orchestrating an occasion that drew together more than 9,000 Nairobi-based Gusii residents.
“I have not had an opportunity to witness a great gathering of one community like. We have just started the journey; for the 40 years I have lived in Nairobi, I have not witnessed this. Mosiria has opened the way for our community living in the county,” Machoku said.
Mosiria was asked to utilise his position as spokesman to promote Omogusii unity in Nairobi and across the diaspora, as this would assist the community get more possibilities in national and county administrations.
Speaking at the same ceremony, Governor Johnson Sakaja praised Mosiria for his unwavering commitment to his people’s rights.
Sakaja claims that since appointing Mosiria to his administration, he has never neglected to address concerns hurting the community.
Mosiria, for his part, pledged to continue working for peace and harmony within the Omogusii tribe, adding that the community will unite around Sakaja in 2027.
“We shall continue to preach peace, love and unity of Omogusii in Nairobi county. As the community spokesperson, I will not hesitate to bring everyone on board,” Mosiria said.
CS Machogu, Sakaja Arthur Johnson, former Kisii county deputy governor and ambassador to Uganda Joash Maangi, and several other Gusii leaders attended the occasion.
