Kalonzo Musyoka Reveals the Cabinet Position He Would Offer Edwin Sifuna if Elected President
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka now believes that Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna would make an excellent Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary in the future.
Speaking on Sunday, Kalonzo stated that a country’s external image must be positive, and that Sifuna is an excellent communicator who fits the bill.
He stated that if he were in a position to select the next Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary, he would undoubtedly choose Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.
He compared Sifuna’s communication skills to those of the late Robert Ouko, noting that, while he had previously served in various ministries, he is best known for his work on the Foreign Affairs portfolio.
“You know the country wants a good image outside, people have forgotten that I was the minister for Education, Environment and Tourism but they remember that I was the minister for foreign affairs. Kenyans remember Robert Ouko. If the time comes and I am in a place where I can choose the Minister of Foreign Affairs that will be Edwin Sifuna. I’m not saying when. He is most qualified, he understands the law. He can make an excellent CS,” Kalonzo said.
“This young man is a communicator and I thank God for him. Soon, whatever it is, this guy will want in this Nairobi, or Kenya give it to him because he is able.”
Kalonzo described Sifuna as one of the country’s most fearless young leaders.
The Wiper party’s leader and former Vice President also urged other leaders to emulate Sifuna in terms of communication style and timing.
“If there is a brave person in Kenya, this is your young senator. He is brave. He is a communicator. For leadership matters, my brothers, MPs and other leaders you also need to communicate as clearly as Sifuna does,” he added.
Kalonzo and other Azimio leaders passed through Kenyatta Market after attending a church service at Nairobi Baptist.
