Man City player declares love for Kenya, Gov’t reacts
The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) responded to Manchester City midfielder Kavin Phillips expressing his affection for Kenya as his top tourist spot.
In a statement, they invited the player, currently on loan at West Ham, to join his teammates when he plans to visit the country.
“Hey Kavin Phillips, come kick it in Kenya again sometime soon and bring the whole West Ham team with you!” KTB pleaded.
During his unveiling at West Ham United, Phillips, who moved on loan from Manchester City during the January transfer window, was asked 11 rapid-fire questions, including one about his favorite holiday destination.
“What is your favourite holiday destination?” the interviewer asked.
Without hesitation, Phillips said, “Kenya”.
