Meru MCA Whose Car Crashed Killing 2 Daughters Was Rushing to Escort Wife to India for Treatment
The Njia ward is in mourning and pain after the unfortunate death of two daughters of their local MCA in a vehicle accident on the Meru-Embu road.
Mwenda Ali was on his way to Nairobi when the horrific catastrophe happened, engulfing his car in flames and debris.
Embu County Commander Nicholas Maina stated that the accident was caused by a head-on collision between Mwenda’s Subaru and a Toyota Hilux, with the latter’s owner receiving minor injuries.
The lawmaker had serious injuries, including a major cut on his forehead, a dislocated left knee, and chest discomfort.
Maina revealed that one of the MCA’s 6-year-old children died on the scene from significant injuries.
The other kid, her father, and the driver were taken to Karen Hospital in Nairobi with serious injuries.
Unfortunately, the infant was unable to survive his injuries and died upon arrival.
According to reports, the MCA was on his way to Nairobi to meet with his wife, who was due to get medical treatment in India.
Fortunately, the MCA is now safe, according to Igembe Central MP Dan Kiili.
“I received Hon. Mwenda Ali at The Karen Hospital and I’m thankful that he is out of danger and responding well. Your resilience and courage in such trying circumstances are truly admirable. The entire community stands with you in solidarity and support,” Kiili confirmed.
