Moses Kuria Shares Cryptic Message after Being Overlooked in State Commendations Awarded to 9 CSs
President William Ruto awarded several Kenyans with state commendations for their important roles in society.
Among the people Ruto conferred with state honours during the Jamhuri Day celebrations were nine Cabinet Secretaries (CSs).
The president honoured the nine CSs with the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya (E.G.H.) for their exemplary performance.
The Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya award is given in recognition of outstanding or distinguished services rendered to the nation in various capacities and responsibilities.
“In recognition of distinguished and outstanding services rendered to the nation in various capacities and responsibilities, I confer awards and honours to the following persons,” Ruto said in a gazette notice.
Among those who were feted are Energy CS Davis Chirchir, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, ICT CS Eliud Owalo, and Sophia Tuya of Environment. After missing out on the award, Public Service CS Moses Kuria has sent out a cryptic message about the list of those honoured by the president. In his message, Kuria suggested that he would still be there despite missing out on the list of those the head of state feted.
In a cryptic post shared on his X account, Kuria added two photos, one with the list of those awarded with Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya (E.G.H.) and another with the names of those working in the office of the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
“We shall be there no matter what,” Kuria said.
