Moses Kuria spots Raila trick to 2027 presidential election with AUC chairmanship agenda
Moses Kuria, the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management, has asserted that Raila Odinga, the head of the ODM party, will continue to be involved in domestic politics even if he is elected as the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC).
During his appearance on Spice FM on Monday, March 11, Kuria confidently asserted that the ODM leader will definitely be a candidate in the 2027 elections, regardless of the result of the AUC position.
The candid Cs contended that Raila is vying for the position of AUC leader in order to occupy his time as he anticipates a presidential competition in 2027.
“Baba is filling time, so for him to get something productive to do is good instead of wasting a good brain. He was not born to be chairman of AUC, he was born to be a politician in national politics,” Kuria said.
Kuria has said that the leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party will step down after a two-year term in order to focus on his aspirations for the presidency.
“People who’ve got no bearing of history think that Baba is going anywhere. Baba is coming back. He will do two years. He is going to call it short and maybe give it to another East African to finish for him, maybe Kikwete, as he takes care of some urgent business,” he argued.
