MP Peter Salasya meets lady who carried placard asking him to marry her
Peter Salasya, a member of parliament (MP) for Mumias East, encountered the woman who bore a placard requesting his marriage on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
While conversing about the marriage proposition, the two encountered at a hotel in Kakamega, where Lavyn Shantell was ecstatic to have met Salasya.
Shantell disclosed during the conversation that she is receptive to a marriage union after a significant relationship with the member of parliament.
This was after Mumias East representative’s bold encounter with Shantell, who had declared her affection for him in public, this transpired.
Concurrently, Salasya expressed gratitude for her endeavors, further specifying that he would solicit the views of his constituents and online followers prior to deciding whether or not to wed her.
“Are you serious if you want to marry me? Members of the public will have to comment. Their opinions matter. It is good I have met and known you,” said Salasya.
Conversely, Shantell remarked that they would make an excellent couple and guaranteed Salasya her steadfast dedication to the partnership.
“Finally, I have met my husband. I am very happy, At least I am feeling relieved. We had ugali and chicken for dinner. You said you wanted somebody who will stay at home, Yes I’m already home and can handle anything. I am ready to settle down,” Shantell assured.
Salasya’s meeting with Shantell came a day after he had declared intention to reject her marriage proposal.
“I have heard that this is trending and am not sure if I can handle her,” Salasya wrote on his Facebook post.
At the time, MP Peter Salasya said that he may be unable to manage her owing to her physical appearance.
