Olekina posts a photo of Ahmednasir on a maize plantation to tease him over Supreme Court ban
Narok Senator Ledama Olekina playfully mocked Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi regarding their recent interactions with the Supreme Court.
Olekina hinted that Ahmednasir might consider joining him in his secondary venture.
On his X account, Olekina shared a picture of Ahmednasir in a cornfield. Notably, the photo was captured on January 1, 2024, predating the Supreme Court’s prohibition on Ahmednasir.
“Ahmednasir Abdullahi has finally decided to join me on my side hassle now that practising law is limited! I see ‘we’ are about to harvest our silage in two weeks,” Olekina said on X.
On Thursday, the Supreme Court issued a directive prohibiting Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdallahi and associates from presenting submissions before the court.
The court, in a statement, expressed that the lawyer had persistently and shamelessly engaged in actions that “scandalized and ridiculed” the court.
“In view of the foregoing, it is the decision of this Court, that henceforth and from the date of this communication, you shall have no audience before the Court, either by yourself, through an employee of your law firm, or any other person holding brief for you,” the statement read in part.
Nevertheless, Ahmednasir promptly rejected the statement signed by Supreme Court Registrar Letizia Wachira, dismissing the ban as “a badge of honor.”
