The matatu stirred controversy earlier this month after reports surfaced that it was not registered with any Sacco, a requirement for public service vehicles, and lacked the mandatory certification from NTSA. He highlighted that the matatu industry plays a significant role in employing the youth and that the Money Fest matatu benefits a chain of at least 100 people.
