Ruto and Gachagua Score D in Latest Infotrak Report

In a revealing Infotrak report released on Monday, June 10, 2024, President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua were both given a D plain grade. President Ruto received a score of 46%, while Gachagua scored slightly lower at 42%.

The evaluation, conducted between May 23 and May 29, 2024, assessed the performance of the two leaders in several areas: their office operations, responsiveness to issues affecting Kenyans, task delivery, and communication with the public. The report provides a critical look at the current administration’s effectiveness and public perception.


In a broader context, the opposition received a marginally higher score of 47%, still resulting in a D plain. The Judiciary matched the President’s score with 46%, and both the Senate and National Assembly mirrored Gachagua’s 42%.

Despite the overall low grades, there were standout performers within the government. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki was recognized as the best performing CS, achieving a B plain with a score of 61%. Conversely, Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi was the lowest-ranked, with an E grade of 39%.

Infotrak’s survey included a representative sample of 1,700 adult Kenyans, covering all 47 counties and 8 regions, ensuring a comprehensive and national perspective.
