Video: Peter Salasya in Another Road Rage Incident: “Nitakufinya”
Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has been captured on video displaying road rage once again, just days after facing charges for assaulting a ward representative.
The incident involves Salasya threatening a motorist during what appears to be a traffic dispute.
In the viral video, Salasya can be seen leaning out of his car window, making aggressive gestures towards a trailing driver.
Audibly, Salasya is heard shouting threats of crashing into the other driver.
The individual recording the incident responded by urging Salasya to focus on his responsibilities as an elected leader and to leave him alone.
“Salasya you are an honourable. Do your work and leave me alone,” the driver says.
The video concluded with Salasya hastily driving away, leaving the other driver in a state of disbelief.
Netizens react to Salasya’s video

“Drunk with power that one , zitashuka tu.”

“To be honest, I really hope the Chief Whip disciplines him because this is embarrassing the August House. Leaders are meant to be measured in their engagements with people and in their public decorum.”
ellyjoynubi:
“He was so humble when he was elected.” say__manu: “This guy is so annoying. I don’t blame him though.”
Why did Salasya spend night in police custody?
Salasya has a history of engaging in public altercations, and this recent incident is not the first time he has been involved in such confrontations.
Just two days prior, Salasya faced arrest and charges for assaulting a Member of County Assembly (MCA).
According to a police report, the MP assaulted Malaha/Isongo/Makunga MCA Peter Walunya Indimuli on Friday, January 12, around 3 pm.
The altercation occurred during the burial of Jesmus Kodia, the wife of Harrison Kodia, in Maraba village within the Mumias East constituency.
Prompt intervention by members of the public led to the rescue of the ward representative, who was then taken to the bereaved house for safety.
“Four gunshots suspected to have been discharged by the MP’s security detail were heard,” the report further reads.
