“You will never be the Governor of Kakamega” – Salasya tells off senator Khalwale as online brawl escalates
Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya and Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale are currently involved in a heated online dispute.
The conflict erupted when Khalwale condemned the MP for physically assaulting an individual at a burial event in Kakamega County.
Following the recorded incident of the MP’s aggression, Khalwale issued a statement advocating for a reconsideration of votes against the MP.
“Our leaders have gone mad. From an MP shooting a DJ to another one shooting a man dead, to others pitting rival goons against each other and now to this! Kenyan voters must seriously retrospect,” Khalwale stated.
In retaliation, the Member of Parliament countered by alleging that Khalwale was instigating a campaign against him solely for political gain, aiming to revive his “declining political support base.”
“The reason people like Boni Khalwale and Fernandes Barasa are fighting me is because they don’t have a following… if today I call a meeting of 20,000 people they will come. Them they can’t (sic). I will not accept any intimidation. Leadership comes from God as long as mtu wa chini ako satisfied with my leadership hawa wengine tutakimbizana nao tu,” Salasya stated.
However, Khalwale refuted the claims of sparking any conflict against the first-term MP, suggesting that he had no motive to engage in a fight with him.
“Sasa ona huyu! Eti Khalwale fighting Salasya! For what?” Khalwale posed.

In response, Salasya dismissed the senator’s remarks, asserting that Khalwale would never attain the position of governor in Kakamega, a position he has been aspiring for over an extended period.
“Dr Boni Khalwale, CBS you will never be the Governor of Kakamega,” Salasya posted on his official Facebook page.
